EVENT COORDINATOR

POSITION SUMMARY
Mountain Star Pride is seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Event Coordinator to plan and execute a variety of events throughout the year. The ideal candidate will be passionate about the LGBTQ+ community and have a strong ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Event Planning and Execution:

Collaborate with the Executive Board to identify and prioritize events aligned with the organization's mission.

Develop comprehensive event plans, including timelines, budgets, and detailed task lists.

Source and secure venues, vendors, and contractors as needed within the established budget as determined by the Executive Board.

Manage event logistics, including scheduling, ticketing, and volunteer coordination.

Oversee event setup, breakdown, and cleanup.

Ensure adherence to all safety regulations and guidelines.
Marketing and Promotion:

Provide necessary input for promotional materials, including flyers, and social media posts.

Suggest ideal marketing channels, such as social media, email, and local partnerships.
Budget Management:

Develop and manage event budgets, tracking expenses and revenue.

Work with. Community liaison and Corporate Resource Officer to secure sponsorships and donations to support event costs when needed.
Volunteer Management:

Recruit and manage volunteers to assist with event execution.

Assign tasks and responsibilities to volunteers.

Provide clear communication and support to volunteers.
Post-Event Evaluation:

Conduct post-event evaluations to assess the success of each event.

Identify areas for improvement and implement changes for future events.
QUALIFICATIONS

Strong organizational and time management skills.

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Proficiency in Microsoft Office 1 Suite and event planning software.

Experience in event planning and execution.

Passion for the LGBTQ+ community and a commitment to the organization's mission.

Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Flexibility to work evenings and weekends as needed.
