POSITION SUMMARY

The Web & Social Media Assistant is responsible for helping the Director of Marketing manage, and optimize our organization's digital presence. This role involves maintaining our website, managing social media platforms, and assisting with developing engaging content that aligns with our mission and goal

RESPONSIBILITIES

Web Design and Development:

  • Ensure website is accessible to all users, including those with disabilities.

  • Optimize website for search engines (SEO) to increase visibility.

  • Maintain and update website content regularly.

  • Collaborate with other Executive Board to integrate website with organizational systems.

Social Media Management:

  • Collaborate with Executive Board to enhance social media strategy.

  • Collaborate to develop engaging content for multiple platforms (Instagram, Facebook, Twitter, etc.).

  • Manage social media accounts, & respond to comments and messages.

  • Monitor social media analytics and adjust strategy accordingly.

Content Creation:

  • Develop compelling content, including blog posts, articles, and graphics.

  • Collaborate with other staff to create engaging content.

  • Ensure content aligns with the organization's mission and values.

Digital Marketing:

  • Utilize email marketing to engage with supporters and donors.

  • Track and analyze digital marketing campaigns.

  • Stay up-to-date with digital marketing trends.

Brand Management:

  • Ensure consistent brand messaging across all digital platforms.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Strong web design and development skills.

  • Proficiency in content management systems (CMS).

  • Experience with social media platforms and analytics tools.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

  • Passion for the LGBTQIA community & a commitment to social justice.
