POSITION SUMMARY
The Community Liaison is a crucial role within our organization, responsible for building and maintaining strong relationships with the LGBTQIA community and its allies. This position involves collaborating with community partners, advocating for LGBTQIA rights, and providing support and resources to community members.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Community Outreach:

Develop and implement outreach strategies to engage with the LGBTQIA community.

Build and maintain relationships with community members and allies.

Identify community needs and priorities.

Represent the organization at community events and conferences.

Develop opportunities to engage the community through social media and other digital platforms.
Advocacy:

Advocate for LGBTQIA rights and equality at local, state, and federal levels.

Collaborate with other organizations on advocacy initiatives.

Stay informed on relevant legislation and policies.
Program Development:

Identify and develop new programs and services to meet the needs of the LGBTQIA community.

Collaborate with Executive Board to ensure program effectiveness.

Evaluate program outcomes and make necessary adjustments.
Resource Development:

Identify and safes spaces and community resources.
Data Collection and Analysis:

Collect and analyze data on community needs and program outcomes.

Use data to inform program development and advocacy efforts
QUALIFICATIONS
-
Passion for the LGBTQIA+ community and a deep understanding of the issues affecting the community.

Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.

Strong organizational and time management skills.
-
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Experience in community organizing or social services preferred.
-
Bilingual skills (English/Spanish) a plus.
